- He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”

and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. - I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.

a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. - The Lord is good,
a refuge in times of trouble.
He cares for those who trust in him. - Start children off on the way they should go,
and even when they are old they will not turn from it. - Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
the people he chose for his inheritance. - Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.
- When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone.
- Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.
- Moses was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights without eating bread or drinking water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant—the Ten Commandments.
- For the Lord is our judge,
the Lord is our lawgiver,
the Lord is our king;
it is he who will save us. - Everyone comes naked from their mother’s womb,
and as everyone comes, so they depart.
They take nothing from their toil
that they can carry in their hands. - Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
- He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”
- And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.
- Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.
- The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
- Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things;
let this be known to all the world. - He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
- For he guards the course of the just
and protects the way of his faithful ones. - The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free.
And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.Next verse!With image
