How great is your love (4/4)

  • Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
  • This also cometh forth from the Lord of hosts,
    which is wonderful in counsel,
    and excellent in working.
  • Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out:
he is excellent in power, and in judgment,
and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.
  • With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love.
  • And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
  • A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
  • But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.
  • How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings,
    that publisheth peace;
that bringeth good tidings of good,
    that publisheth salvation;
    that saith unto Zion,
    Thy God reigneth!
  • Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
  • He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
  • Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Lord:
let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.
  • And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
  • Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us,
but unto thy name give glory,
for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake.
  • Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.
  • If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
  • Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
  • For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
  • Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
  • And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
  • For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
  • Hatred stirreth up strifes:
    but love covereth all sins.
  • We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth.
  • And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
  • And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
  • Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

Bible verse of the day

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
