- Therefore, we love because he first loved us.
- This is how we can be certain
that we abide in him
and that he abides in us:
he has given us a share in his Spirit. - What then shall we say? Should we persist in sin in order that grace may abound? Of course not! We have died to sin. How can we live in it any longer?

- For God would not be so unjust as to ignore your work and the love that you have shown for his name by the services you have rendered to the saints and still continue to render.

than the great wealth of the wicked.
For the power of the wicked will be overcome,

- I give you a new commandment:
love one another.
Just as I have loved you,
so you should also love one another. - The Lord, your God, is in your midst,
a warrior and a savior.
He will rejoice over you with gladness
and renew you through his love.
He will exult over you with shouts of joy. - Not to us, O Lord, not to us,
but to your name give glory
because of your kindness and faithfulness. - May the Lord guide your hearts to the love of God and the steadfastness of Christ.
- Over all these put on love, which is the bond of perfection.
- How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from acts that lead to death so that we may worship the living God.
- Your kindness is a greater joy than life itself;
thus my lips will speak your praise.
I will bless you all my life;
with uplifted hands I will call on your name. - But I have had help from God to this very day, and I stand here and testify to both the lowly and the great. I assert nothing more than what the Prophets and Moses said would occur: that the Christ must suffer, and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light to the people and to the Gentiles.
- This is the commandment
