How great is your love (3/4)

  • Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
  • No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God lives in us, and his love is perfected in us.
  • By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.
  • Those who say, “I love God,” and hate their brothers or sisters, are liars; for those who do not love a brother or sister whom they have seen, cannot love God whom they have not seen.
  • Do not, O Lord, withhold
    your mercy from me;
    let your steadfast love and your faithfulness
    keep me safe forever.
  • For God is not unjust; he will not overlook your work and the love that you showed for his sake in serving the saints, as you still do.
  • Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By his great mercy he has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
  • How beautiful upon the mountains
    are the feet of the messenger who announces peace,
    who brings good news,
    who announces salvation,
    who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.”
  • Let your face shine upon your servant;
    save me in your steadfast love.
  • Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory,
    for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness.
  • Better is a little with righteousness
    than large income with injustice.
  • Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful.
  • See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and that is what we are. The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
  • Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
  • When I thought, “My foot is slipping,”
    your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up.
  • I will sanctify my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, and which you have profaned among them; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord, says the Lord God, when through you I display my holiness before their eyes.
  • Rend your hearts and not your clothing.
    Return to the Lord, your God,
    for he is gracious and merciful,
    slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love,
    and relents from punishing.
  • Because your steadfast love is better than life,
    my lips will praise you.
    So I will bless you as long as I live;
    I will lift up my hands and call on your name.
  • Then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trial, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment.
  • Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer everyone.
  • You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.
  • We love because he first loved us.
  • Hear, O Israel: The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.
  • Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and never treat them harshly.
  • Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, will be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.

Stay awake and pray that you may not come into the time of trial; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
