- The Lord is on my side; I will not fear:
what can man do unto me? - Therefore I will look unto the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation:
my God will hear me. - I am sought of them that asked not for me;
I am found of them that sought me not:
I said, Behold me, behold me,
unto a nation that was not called by my name. - For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
- The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters. - And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.
- Yet I am the Lord thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.
- Have mercy upon me, O God,
according to thy lovingkindness:
according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies
blot out my transgressions.
Wash me throughly from mine iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin. - I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
- Though an host should encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear:
though war should rise against me,
in this will I be confident. - I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
- I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
- And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
- Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.
- O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me.
Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising,
thou understandest my thought afar off. - And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
- And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
- When I said, My foot slippeth;
thy mercy, O Lord, held me up. - Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning;
for in thee do I trust:
cause me to know the way wherein I should walk;
for I lift up my soul unto thee. - If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
- Yea, though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me;
thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. - I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep:
for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety. - For thus saith the Lord unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live.
- Teach me thy way, O Lord;
I will walk in thy truth:
unite my heart to fear thy name. - Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
