Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 2 Corinthians 12:9	But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” So, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. grace strength weakness

For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are. Romans 3:20	For “no human being will be justified in his sight” by deeds prescribed by the law, for through the law comes the knowledge of sin. sin law righteousness

So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:10	Therefore I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities for the sake of Christ; for whenever I am weak, then I am strong. joy strength persecution
Either way, Christ’s love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life. He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them. 2 Corinthians 5:14-15	For the love of Christ urges us on, because we are convinced that one has died for all; therefore all have died. And he died for all, so that those who live might live no longer for themselves, but for him who died and was raised for them. love life resurrection
Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. And let us work toward complete holiness because we fear God. 2 Corinthians 7:1	Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and of spirit, making holiness perfect in the fear of God. purification holiness awe
So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded. 1 Thessalonians 5:6	So then let us not fall asleep as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober. safety self-control
Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets. Matthew 7:12	In everything do to others as you would have them do to you; for this is the law and the prophets. law neighbor relationships
So refuse to worry, and keep your body healthy. But remember that youth, with a whole life before you, is meaningless. Ecclesiastes 11:10	Banish anxiety from your mind, and put away pain from your body; for youth and the dawn of life are vanity. sadness worrying heart

Give to everyone what you owe them: Pay your taxes and government fees to those who collect them, and give respect and honor to those who are in authority. As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me. Micah 7:7	But as for me, I will look to the Lord, I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me. hope salvation listening
Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do! And whatever else you do, develop good judgment. Proverbs 4:7	The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever else you get, get insight. wisdom understanding
Then the Lord God said, “Look, the human beings have become like us, knowing both good and evil. What if they reach out, take fruit from the tree of life, and eat it? When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites do—blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get. Matthew 6:2	So whenever you give alms, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be praised by others. I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law? Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about Christ. Galatians 3:5	Well then, does God supply you with the Spirit and work miracles among you by your doing the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard? law Spirit listening
When a crime is not punished quickly, people feel it is safe to do wrong. Ecclesiastes 8:11	Because sentence against an evil deed is not executed speedily, the human heart is fully set to do evil. sin heart punishment
Others were given in exchange for you. I traded their lives for yours because you are precious to me. You are honored, and I love you. What is the price of two sparrows—one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Ephesians 6:14-16	Stand therefore, and fasten the belt of truth around your waist, and put on the breastplate of righteousness. As shoes for your feet put on whatever will make you ready to proclaim the gospel of peace. The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.
