- So that I may come to you with joy, by God’s will, and in your company be refreshed.
- I, even I, am he who comforts you.
Who are you that you fear mere mortals,
human beings who are but grass. - My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?
- You will keep in perfect peace
those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you. - I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors:
You have given me wisdom and power,
you have made known to me what we asked of you,
you have made known to us the dream of the king. - You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.
- And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
- You are to be holy to me because I, the Lord, am holy, and I have set you apart from the nations to be my own.
- These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
- He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
- Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
- I spread out my hands to you;
I thirst for you like a parched land. - Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
- I instruct you in the way of wisdom
and lead you along straight paths. - I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
- ‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’
- You are altogether beautiful, my darling;
there is no flaw in you. - But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
- Keep his decrees and commands, which I am giving you today, so that it may go well with you and your children after you and that you may live long in the land the Lord your God gives you for all time.
- Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
- How abundant are the good things
that you have stored up for those who fear you,
that you bestow in the sight of all,
on those who take refuge in you. - I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
- If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over.
- And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.
- What is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”Next verse!With image
