Bible Verses about Selfishness

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.
Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth. No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil.Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.
The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.
Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up.
A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.Fools find no pleasure in understanding but delight in airing their own opinions.
And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.
Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise.
Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.
And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”
