- The wicked earns deceptive wages,
but one who sows righteousness gets a sure reward. - For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.
- As far as the east is from the west,
so far does he remove our transgressions from us. - He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.
- For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away
through my groaning all day long. - For all who have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.
- Many shall purify themselves and make themselves white and be refined, but the wicked shall act wickedly. And none of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand.

- Better is the little that the righteous has
than the abundance of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
but the Lord upholds the righteous. - If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell.
- Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loincloths.
- For a day in your courts is better
than a thousand elsewhere.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than dwell in the tents of wickedness. - The face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
to cut off the memory of them from the earth. - And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
- For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.
- He reveals deep and hidden things;
he knows what is in the darkness,
and the light dwells with him.
