- For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
- Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love,
for they are from of old.
Do not remember the sins of my youth
and my rebellious ways;
according to your love remember me,
for you, Lord, are good. - Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
- Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.”
- Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.
- For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.
- Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.
- The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
- Blessed is the one
whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered. - Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall.
- What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?
- Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.
- There is a way that appears to be right,
but in the end it leads to death. - Wash and make yourselves clean.
Take your evil deeds out of my sight;
stop doing wrong. - The name of the righteous is used in blessings,
but the name of the wicked will rot. - “Come now, let us settle the matter,”
says the Lord.
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red as crimson,
they shall be like wool.” - We have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws.
- If anyone sins and does what is forbidden in any of the Lord’s commands, even though they do not know it, they are guilty and will be held responsible.
- So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
- When anyone becomes aware that they are guilty in any of these matters, they must confess in what way they have sinned.
- Then I acknowledged my sin to you
and did not cover up my iniquity.
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.”
And you forgave the guilt of my sin. - I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
- For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.
- For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.
Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God—I say this to your shame.Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.
