- Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
- There is a way that seems right to a man,
But its end is the way of death. - Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean;
Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes.
Cease to do evil. - The memory of the righteous is blessed,
But the name of the wicked will rot. - “Come now, and let us reason together,”
Says the Lord,
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
They shall be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They shall be as wool.” - We have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and Your judgments.
- If a person sins, and commits any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the Lord, though he does not know it, yet he is guilty and shall bear his iniquity.
- I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
- And it shall be, when he is guilty in any of these matters, that he shall confess that he has sinned in that thing.
- I acknowledged my sin to You,
And my iniquity I have not hidden.
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
And You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah - I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.
- For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
- For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.
