- A fool spurns a parent’s discipline,
but whoever heeds correction shows prudence. - Eloquent lips are unsuited to a godless fool—
how much worse lying lips to a ruler! - Who is wise? Let them realize these things.
Who is discerning? Let them understand.
The ways of the Lord are right;
the righteous walk in them,
but the rebellious stumble in them.
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
