- Like newborn infants, long for the pure, spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow into salvation.
- But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's own people, in order that you may proclaim the mighty acts of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
- As servants of God, live as free people, yet do not use your freedom as a pretext for evil.
- For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you should follow in his steps.
- He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that, free from sins, we might live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.
To do righteousness and justice
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.Next verse! With image
