Proverbs 27 - ESV & NKJV

Do not forsake your friend and your father's friend, and do not go to your brother's house in the day of your calamity. Better is a neighbor who is near than a brother who is far away.Do not forsake your own friend or your father’s friend, Nor go to your brother’s house in the day of your calamity; Better is a neighbor nearby than a brother far away.
The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it.A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself; The simple pass on and are punished.
Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.
As in water face reflects face, so the heart of man reflects the man.As in water face reflects face, So a man’s heart reveals the man.

Bible verse of the day

God settles the solitary in a home;
he leads out the prisoners to prosperity,
but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.
