- Though the fig tree does not blossom,
and no fruit is on the vines;
though the produce of the olive fails
and the fields yield no food;
though the flock is cut off from the fold
and there is no herd in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord;
I will exult in the God of my salvation. - Because you are precious in my sight,
and honored, and I love you,
I give people in return for you,
nations in exchange for your life. - For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
- On God rests my deliverance and my honor;
my mighty rock, my refuge is in God. - I am the gate. Whoever enters by me will be saved, and will come in and go out and find pasture.
- For the message about the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
- For the Lord himself, with a cry of command, with the archangel's call and with the sound of God's trumpet, will descend from heaven, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up in the clouds together with them to meet the Lord in the air; and so we will be with the Lord forever.

The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer,
my God, my rock in whom I take refuge,
my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. - Consequently he is able for all time to save those who approach God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted,
and saves the crushed in spirit. - Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
save me, and I shall be saved;
for you are my praise. - But our citizenship is in heaven, and it is from there that we are expecting a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
- The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
- And having been made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.
- The Lord redeems the life of his servants;
none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned. - For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our ruler,
the Lord is our king; he will save us. - Therefore rid yourselves of all sordidness and rank growth of wickedness, and welcome with meekness the implanted word that has the power to save your souls.
- For in it the righteousness of God is revealed through faith for faith; as it is written, “The one who is righteous will live by faith.”
