Bible Verses about 'World'

God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.
Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you.Don’t love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him.
Yes, I came from the Father into the world, and now I will leave the world and return to the Father.I came from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father.
For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world: your faith.
If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first. If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you.
And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?
You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can’t be hidden.
For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—isn’t the Father’s, but is the world’s.
You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God.You adulterers and adulteresses, don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.
The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him.The earth is Yahweh’s, with its fullness; the world, and those who dwell in it.
And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.”He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to the whole creation.”
As for me, may I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross, my interest in this world has been crucified, and the world’s interest in me has also died. But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment. When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment.
I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one.I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one.
And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever. The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God’s will remains forever.
He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world. And he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.
Before the mountains were born, before you gave birth to the earth and the world, from beginning to end, you are God.Before the mountains were born, before you had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.
God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.By this God’s love was revealed in us, that God has sent his only born Son into the world that we might live through him.
And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul? For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life? Or what will a man give in exchange for his life?
For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world.
And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come. This Good News of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world for a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.
After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content. For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can’t carry anything out. But having food and clothing, we will be content with that.

I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
