- But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that the fact that you are fasting will not be obvious to others but only to your Father who is hidden. And your Father who sees everything that is done in secret will reward you.

to be with you forever. - And whenever you stand in prayer, forgive whatever grievance you have against anybody, so that your Father in heaven may forgive your wrongs too.

that you bear much fruit

- Whoever denies the Son
does not have the Father,
but whoever acknowledges the Son
has the Father also. - But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.
- Just as the living Father sent me
and I have life because of the Father,
so whoever feeds upon me will live because of me. - Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my heavenly Father.
- Anyone who is victorious will be dressed like these in white robes, and I shall not blot his name from the book of life. Rather, I shall acknowledge it in the presence of my Father and his angels.
- “Peace be with you,” Jesus said to them again.
“As the Father has sent me,
so I send you.” - I came from the Father
and have come into the world.
Now I am leaving the world
and returning to the Father. - Let what you heard from the beginning
remain in you.
If what you heard from the beginning
remains in you,
then you will remain in the Son
and in the Father. - However, the Advocate, the Holy Spirit,
whom the Father will send in my name,
will teach you everything
and remind you of all
that I have said to you.
