- Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.
- Rather, grow in the grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
To him be glory both now and for all eternity. Amen. - Every day, united in spirit, they would assemble together in the temple. They would break bread in their homes and share their food with joyful and generous hearts as they praised God, and they were regarded with favor by all the people. And day by day the Lord added to those who were being saved.
- To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.
- To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
- Be exalted, O God, above the heavens,
and let your glory shine over all the earth. - Then it will come to pass
that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. - I will rejoice and exult in you;
I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. - Nor would someone light a lamp and then put it under a basket; rather, it is placed upon a lampstand so that it may afford light to all in the house. In the same way, your light must shine so that it can be seen by others; this will enable them to observe your good works and give praise to your Father in heaven.
- Therefore, accept one another for the glory of God, just as Christ has accepted you.
- The crowds that preceded him and those that followed kept shouting:
“Hosanna to the Son of David!
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!
Hosanna in the highest!” - The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory forever and ever. Amen.
- Indeed, “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
those who are guided by it will grow in understanding.
His praise will last forever. - To you, O God of my fathers,
I offer thanks and praise
because you have given me wisdom and power.
Now you have made known to me
what we asked of you;
you have revealed to us the king’s dream. - Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to all those on whom his favor rests. - Then Job arose, tore his cloak, and shaved his head. He threw himself prostrate on the ground and said:
“Naked I emerged from my mother’s womb,
and naked I will return.
The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away;
blessed be the name of the Lord.” - Help us, O God, our Savior,
for the glory of your name;
deliver us and wipe away our sins
for your name’s sake. - And the shepherds went back, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, just as they had been told.
- On one occasion, while they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set Barnabas and Saul apart for me to do the work to which I have called them.”
- I also ask that the women should dress themselves modestly and decently in suitable clothing. They should be adorned not with braided hair or with gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good works, as is fitting for women who profess their reverence for God.
- Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let your glory shine over all the earth. - I will sing to the Lord as long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God while I have life. - Sing praise to the Lord for his mighty deeds;
let this be known throughout the entire world. - After Jesus had been born in Bethlehem of Judea during the reign of King Herod, wise men traveled from the east and arrived in Jerusalem, inquiring, “Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw the rising of his star, and we have come to pay him homage.”
