Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Envy'
- For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.
- Do not envy the violent
or choose any of their ways.
For the Lord detests the perverse
but takes the upright into his confidence. - And I saw that all toil and all achievement spring from one person’s envy of another. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.
- Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
- The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
- He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”
My son, pay attention to what I say;
turn your ear to my words.
Do not let them out of your sight,
keep them within your heart. Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”Next verse!With image
