I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. |
| Because in my eyes you are precious, because you are honored and I love you, I will give people in exchange for you and nations in return for your life. | Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life. |
| I wait for the Lord in anxious expectation; I place my hope in his word. | I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. |
| Our God is in heaven; he does whatever he pleases. | But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased. |
| However, if we live in the light as he himself is in the light, then we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son purifies us from all sin. | But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. |
