Peter opened his mouth and said, “Truly I perceive that God doesn’t show favoritism; but in every nation he who fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him.” | So Peter opened his mouth and said: “Truly I understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.” |
Yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we live through him. | Yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist. |
Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. | And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. |
He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things? | He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? |
Yahweh God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him.” | Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.” |
Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth. | Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth. |
But from there you shall seek Yahweh your God, and you will find him when you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul. | But from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul. |
Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to him be the glory in the assembly and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. | Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. |
Sing to God! Sing praises to his name! Extol him who rides on the clouds: to Yah, his name! Rejoice before him! A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. | Sing to God, sing praises to his name; lift up a song to him who rides through the deserts; his name is the Lord; exult before him! Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation. |
God created man in his own image. In God’s image he created him; male and female he created them. | So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. |
He reveals the deep and secret things. He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him. | He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him. |
If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie and don’t tell the truth. | If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. |
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, then I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with me. | Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. |

For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will also be part of his resurrection; knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin. | For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his.
