| I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death. | That I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed to his death. |
| In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. | Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that each person who belongs to God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. |

The prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You shall not be afraid of him. |
| Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. | Don’t judge, so that you won’t be judged. |
| Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. | Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. |
