| The Lord is my light and my salvation— so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? | Yahweh is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid? |
| Your laws are my treasure; they are my heart’s delight. | I have taken your testimonies as a heritage forever, for they are the joy of my heart. |
| You know what I long for, Lord; you hear my every sigh. | Lord, all my desire is before you. My groaning is not hidden from you. |

| I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! | I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth. |
| Hear my prayer, O Lord; listen to my plea! Answer me because you are faithful and righteous. | Hear my prayer, Yahweh. Listen to my petitions. In your faithfulness and righteousness, relieve me. |
| I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!” | “Yahweh is my portion,” says my soul. “Therefore I will hope in him.” |
| O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water. | God, you are my God.
