If we live by the Spirit, let’s follow the Spirit as well. | If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit. |
Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. | Beloved, since God loved us so much, we also ought to love one another. |
|
For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things just as we are, yet without sin. | For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who in every respect has been tested as we are, yet without sin. |
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. | Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. |
Let Your favor, Lord, be upon us, Just as we have waited for You. | Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in you. |
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. | For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life. |
But if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. | But if we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. |
For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin. | For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. We know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be destroyed, and we might no longer be enslaved to sin. |
But who am I and who are my people that we should be able to offer as generously as this? For all things come from You, and from Your hand we have given to You. | But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to make this freewill offering? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you. |
The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God. | It is that very Spirit bearing witness with our spirit that we are children of God. |
Now in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. | Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words. |
For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building. | For we are God's servants, working together; you are God's field, God's building. |
So teach us to number our days, That we may present to You a heart of wisdom. | So teach us to count our days that we may gain a wise heart. |
So we fasted and sought our God concerning this matter, and He listened to our pleading. | So we fasted and petitioned our God for this, and he listened to our entreaty. |
For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. | For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. |
For just as we have many parts in one body and all the body’s parts do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually parts of one another. | For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another. |
Lord God of armies, restore us; Make Your face shine upon us, and we will be saved. | Restore us, O Lord God of hosts; let your face shine, that we may be saved. |
Yet for us there is only one God, the Father, from whom are all things, and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him. | Yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist. |
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? | What then are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us? |
For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. | For in the one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. |
But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. | No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. |
For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we are to love one another. | For this is the message you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. |
So that we confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?” | So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?” |
Please, O Lord, do save us; Please, O Lord, do send prosperity! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord; We have blessed you from the house of the Lord. | Save us, we beseech you, O Lord! O Lord, we beseech you, give us success! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord. We bless you from the house of the Lord. |
We are Jews by nature and not sinners from the Gentiles; nevertheless, knowing that a person is not justified by works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the Law; since by works of the Law no flesh will be justified. | We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners; yet we know that a person is justified not by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ. And we have come to believe in Christ Jesus, so that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by doing the works of the law, because no one will be justified by the works of the law. |
