A highway will be there, a roadway, And it will be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean will not travel on it, But it will be for the one who walks that way, And fools will not wander on it. | And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. |
Many will be purged, cleansed, and refined, but the wicked will act wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but those who have insight will understand. | Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. |

For the Lord your God will have blessed you just as He has promised you, and you will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow; and you will rule over many nations, but they will not rule over you. | For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee. |
Do not judge, and you will not be judged; and do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; pardon, and you will be pardoned. | Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven. |
I will exalt You, my God, the King, And I will bless Your name forever and ever. | I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. |
He will not allow your foot to slip; He who watches over you will not slumber. | He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. |
A person’s pride will bring him low, But a humble spirit will obtain honor. | A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit. |
Yet those who wait for the Lord Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary. | But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. |
Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. | Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. |
I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonders. | I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works. |
I will rejoice and be jubilant in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High. | I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High. |
The wise of heart will receive commands, But a babbling fool will come to ruin. | The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall. |
The hand of the diligent will rule, But the lazy hand will be put to forced labor. | The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute. |
The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with peace. | The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace. |
Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and she will name Him Immanuel. | Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. |
Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; Save me and I will be saved, For You are my praise. | Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise. |
For nothing will be impossible with God. | For with God nothing shall be impossible. |
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you. | When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. |
I will make them and the places around My hill a blessing. And I will make showers fall in their season; they will be showers of blessing. | And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing. |
One who walks with wise people will be wise, But a companion of fools will suffer harm. | He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. |
Because Your favor is better than life, My lips will praise You. So I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. | Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name. |
But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known. | For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. |
For I will be merciful toward their wrongdoings, And their sins I will no longer remember. | For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. |
For a Child will be born to us, a Son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. | For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. |
Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. | Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. |
