| The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. | The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. |
| Turn us again, Yahweh God of Armies. Cause your face to shine, and we will be saved. | Turn us again to yourself, O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies. Make your face shine down upon us. Only then will we be saved. |
| Yahweh will also be a high tower for the oppressed; a high tower in times of trouble. | The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. |

| He loves righteousness and justice. The earth is full of the loving kindness of Yahweh. | He loves whatever is just and good; the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth. |
| Yahweh God made garments of animal skins for Adam and for his wife, and clothed them. | And the Lord God made clothing from animal skins for Adam and his wife. |
| Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight. | The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in those who tell the truth. |
| I have set Yahweh always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. | I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. |
| I am Yahweh your God. Walk in my statutes, keep my ordinances, and do them. Make my Sabbaths holy. | House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from Yahweh. | Fathers can give their sons an inheritance of houses and wealth, but only the Lord can give an understanding wife. |
| Now, Israel, what does Yahweh your God require of you, but to fear Yahweh your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, and to serve Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul, to keep Yahweh’s commandments and statutes, which I command you today for your good? | And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? | Yahweh is slow to anger, and great in power, and will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. Yahweh has his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. | The Lord is slow to get angry, but his power is great, and he never lets the guilty go unpunished. He displays his power in the whirlwind and the storm. The billowing clouds are the dust beneath his feet. |
| I will give thanks to Yahweh with my whole heart. I will tell of all your marvelous works. | I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done. |
| Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever. | Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. |
| Praise Yah! Blessed is the man who fears Yahweh, who delights greatly in his commandments. | Praise the Lord! How joyful are those who fear the Lord and delight in obeying his commands. |
