| So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom. | Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom. |
| And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life. |

But John himself told the people to believe in the one who would come later, meaning Jesus.” |
| And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. | And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. |
| Do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on. | The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. | The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known. |
