Bible Verses about Dependence

For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.”For I hold you by your right hand— I, the Lord your God. And I say to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.’
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps. We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.

Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand. You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.
I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.
He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.
Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have.
He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber.
Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams.
Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight.Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all!
I have set the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.

Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted. Unless the Lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good.
The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.The blessing of the Lord makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.

But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able thus to offer willingly? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you.But who am I, and who are my people, that we could give anything to you? Everything we have has come from you, and we give you only what you first gave us!
In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider: God has made the one as well as the other, so that man may not find out anything that will be after him.Enjoy prosperity while you can, but when hard times strike, realize that both come from God. It was your right hand and strong arm and the blinding light from your face that helped them, for you loved them.
Restore us, O Lord God of hosts! Let your face shine, that we may be saved!Turn us again to yourself, O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies. Make your face shine down upon us. Only then will we be saved.

For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body.
