The one who eats My flesh and drinks My blood remains in Me, and I in him. | Whoever feeds upon my flesh and drinks my blood dwells in me and I dwell in him. |
Just as the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, the one who eats Me, he also will live because of Me. | Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so whoever feeds upon me will live because of me. |

Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; the one who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” | Jesus addressed them once again, saying, “I am the light of the world. The one who follows me will never walk in darkness. Rather, he will have the light of life.” |
So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly My disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” | Then Jesus said to those Jews who did believe in him, “If you remain faithful to my word, you will truly be my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” |
Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin.” | Jesus replied, “Amen, amen, I say to you, everyone who sins is a slave of sin.” |
So if the Son sets you free, you really will be free. | Therefore, if the Son sets you free, you then will truly be free. |
