This is how we know what love is: he laid down his life for us, and we in turn must be prepared to lay down our lives for our brethren. 1 John 3:16	We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. Do not work for food that perishes but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For it is on him that God the Father has set his seal. John 6:27	But don’t be so concerned about perishable things like food. Spend your energy seeking the eternal life that the Son of Man can give you. We also know that the Son of God has come and given us understanding so that we can know the one who is true. And we are in the one who is true, since we are in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. 1 John 5:20	And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life. Jesus understanding truth

After this, he said to the crowd, “Take care to be on your guard against all kinds of greed. Life does not depend upon an abundance of one’s possessions.” Luke 12:15	Then he said, “Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.” money greed materialism

Who among you is wise and understanding? Prove by your good life that your works are done with the humility that comes from wisdom. For you are aware that you were ransomed from your futile way of life inherited from your ancestors not with perishable things like silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. 1 Peter 1:18-19	For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. My son, do not forget my teaching, but cherish my commandments in your heart, for they will bring you length of days, more years of life, and an abundance of prosperity.

My child, never forget the things I have taught you. Store my commands in your heart. If you do this, you will live many years, and your life will be satisfying.
