- “Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life.”
- One Sabbath Jesus was going through the grainfields, and as his disciples walked along, they began to pick some heads of grain. The Pharisees said to him, “Look, why are they doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?” He answered, “Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry and in need? In the days of Abiathar the high priest, he entered the house of God and ate the consecrated bread, which is lawful only for priests to eat. And he also gave some to his companions.” Then he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.”
- Give careful thought to the paths for your feet
and be steadfast in all your ways. - It is to one’s honor to avoid strife,
but every fool is quick to quarrel. - I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
- I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.
Acknowledge and take to heart this day that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth below. There is no other. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.Next verse! With image
