For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
Therefore Jesus said, “For a little while longer I am going to be with you, and then I am going to Him who sent Me.”Jesus said, “I am with you for only a short time, and then I am going to the one who sent me.”
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.
Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you now believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.”Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
For whoever has been born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith.For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.
And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.
All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being.Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, that you also love one another.A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
Jesus responded and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless someone is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”
Just as the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, the one who eats Me, he also will live because of Me.Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.
We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers and sisters.This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.
This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless someone is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.”
But the one who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds will be revealed as having been performed in God.But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.
Truly, truly I say to you, a slave is not greater than his master, nor is one who is sent greater than the one who sent him.Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.
By this the love of God was revealed in us, that God has sent His only Son into the world so that we may live through Him.This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love.If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love.
Now John himself had a garment of camel’s hair and a leather belt around his waist; and his food was locusts and wild honey.John’s clothes were made of camel’s hair, and he had a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and wild honey.
Peace I leave you, My peace I give you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, nor fearful.Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Truly, truly I say to you, the one who receives anyone I send, receives Me; and the one who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.Very truly I tell you, whoever accepts anyone I send accepts me; and whoever accepts me accepts the one who sent me.
