I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors, for you have given me wisdom and strength. You have told me what we asked of you and revealed to us what the king demanded.To You, God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, For You have given me wisdom and power; Even now You have made known to me what we requested of You, For You have made known to us the king’s matter.
Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving.
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
But the Scriptures declare that we are all prisoners of sin, so we receive God’s promise of freedom only by believing in Jesus Christ.But the Scripture has confined everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
I lift my hands to you in prayer. I thirst for you as parched land thirsts for rain.I spread out my hands to You; My soul longs for You, like a weary land. Selah
The husband should fulfill his wife’s sexual needs, and the wife should fulfill her husband’s needs. The wife gives authority over her body to her husband, and the husband gives authority over his body to his wife.The husband must fulfill his duty to his wife, and likewise the wife also to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does; and likewise the husband also does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.
So we fasted and earnestly prayed that our God would take care of us, and he heard our prayer.So we fasted and sought our God concerning this matter, and He listened to our pleading.
Since we have been united with him in his death, we will also be raised to life as he was. We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin.For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin.
Hear my prayer, O Lord; listen to my plea! Answer me because you are faithful and righteous.Hear my prayer, Lord, Listen to my pleadings! Answer me in Your faithfulness, in Your righteousness!
So after more fasting and prayer, the men laid their hands on them and sent them on their way.Then, when they had fasted, prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.
From the depths of despair, O Lord, I call for your help. Hear my cry, O Lord. Pay attention to my prayer.Out of the depths I have cried to You, Lord. Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive To the sound of my pleadings.
Who are you to condemn someone else’s servants? Their own master will judge whether they stand or fall. And with the Lord’s help, they will stand and receive his approval.Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
They all met together and were constantly united in prayer, along with Mary the mother of Jesus, several other women, and the brothers of Jesus.All these were continually devoting themselves with one mind to prayer, along with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.
After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness.
Guide my steps by your word, so I will not be overcome by evil.Establish my footsteps in Your word, And do not let any wrongdoing have power over me.
All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace.For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under the Law but under grace.
I love the Lord because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!I love the Lord, because He hears My voice and my pleas. Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.
Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you! I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer.Because Your favor is better than life, My lips will praise You. So I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.

God detests the prayers of a person who ignores the law.One who turns his ear away from listening to the Law, Even his prayer is an abomination.
Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.Every person is to be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.
Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.Therefore He is also able to save forever those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers.The end of all things is near; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer.
Go back to Hezekiah, the leader of my people. Tell him, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your ancestor David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will heal you, and three days from now you will get out of bed and go to the Temple of the Lord.’Return and say to Hezekiah the leader of My people, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your father David says: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I am going to heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord.”’

Then Peter said, “Ananias, why have you let Satan fill your heart? You lied to the Holy Spirit, and you kept some of the money for yourself. The property was yours to sell or not sell, as you wished. And after selling it, the money was also yours to give away. How could you do a thing like this? You weren’t lying to us but to God!”But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back some of the proceeds of the land? While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not under your control? Why is it that you have conceived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men, but to God.”
