| For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son. | For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. |
| Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins. Everyone who believes in him is made right in God’s sight—something the law of Moses could never do. | Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses. |
| God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. | So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ. | So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. |
| Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. | Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. |
| He called you to salvation when we told you the Good News; now you can share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. | To which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. |

Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen. | Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. | Timothy, my dear son, be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus. | You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. |
| You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it. | Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. |
| And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. | Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. |
| Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous. | For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous. |
