You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. For I command you this day to love the Lord your God and to keep his commands, decrees, and regulations by walking in his ways. If you do this, you will live and multiply, and the Lord your God will bless you and the land you are about to enter and occupy. The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these. Mark 12:31	And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these. love neighbor selfishness
Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Galatians 5:22-23	But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. Spirit blessing gentleness
For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are. Romans 3:20	Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. sin righteousness
If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully keep all his commands that I am giving you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the world. Deuteronomy 28:1	Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. obedience blessing
Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law. Romans 13:8	Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. love debt
For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Galatians 5:14	For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” love neighbor

But the love of the Lord remains forever with those who fear him. His salvation extends to the children’s children of those who are faithful to his covenant, of those who obey his commandments! Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14	Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? righteousness relationships light
And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the Lord your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul. And you must always obey the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good. Deuteronomy 10:12-13	And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the Lord and His statutes which I command you today for your good? awe blessing serving
Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord. Ephesians 6:4	And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord. family children
Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2	Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. suffering neighbor
No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. When the Gentiles sin, they will be destroyed, even though they never had God’s written law. And the Jews, who do have God’s law, will be judged by that law when they fail to obey it. Instead, I want to see a mighty flood of justice, an endless river of righteous living. Amos 5:24	But let justice run down like water, And righteousness like a mighty stream. righteousness
But be very careful to obey all the commands and the instructions that Moses gave to you. Love the Lord your God, walk in all his ways, obey his commands, hold firmly to him, and serve him with all your heart and all your soul. Dear friends, if we don’t feel guilty, we can come to God with bold confidence. And we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey him and do the things that please him. 1 John 3:21-22	Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. trust obedience
