Understanding (2/2)

Even fools who keep silent are considered wise; when they close their lips, they are deemed intelligent.Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent; with their mouths shut, they seem intelligent.
May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ.May the Lord lead your hearts into a full understanding and expression of the love of God and the patient endurance that comes from Christ.
Because no prophecy ever came by human will, but men and women moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet’s own understanding, or from human initiative. No, those prophets were moved by the Holy Spirit, and they spoke from God.
Therefore let us go on toward perfection, leaving behind the basic teaching about Christ, and not laying again the foundation: repentance from dead works and faith toward God, instruction about baptisms, laying on of hands, resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don’t need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God. You don’t need further instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.

I will exalt you, I will praise your name;
for you have done wonderful things,
plans formed of old, faithful and sure.
