- For I, the Lord your God,
hold your right hand;
it is I who say to you, “Do not fear,
I will help you.” - Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not rely on your own insight.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths. - The human mind plans the way,
but the Lord directs the steps. - My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. - I lift up my eyes to the hills—
from where will my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. - The human mind may devise many plans,
but it is the purpose of the Lord that will be established. - I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing.
- He gives power to the faint,
and strengthens the powerless. - Not that I am referring to being in need; for I have learned to be content with whatever I have.
- He will not let your foot be moved;
he who keeps you will not slumber. - So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today's trouble is enough for today.
- The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
he leads me beside still waters. - I keep the Lord always before me;
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. - Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly; do not claim to be wiser than you are.
- The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to keep still.
- Unless the Lord builds the house,
those who build it labor in vain.
Unless the Lord guards the city,
the guard keeps watch in vain. - The blessing of the Lord makes rich,
and he adds no sorrow with it. - When I thought, “My foot is slipping,”
your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up. - Out of my distress I called on the Lord;
the Lord answered me and set me in a broad place. - But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to make this freewill offering? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you.
- In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider; God has made the one as well as the other, so that mortals may not find out anything that will come after them.
- And those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
- Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
- For not by their own sword did they win the land,
nor did their own arm give them victory;
but your right hand, and your arm,
and the light of your countenance,
for you delighted in them. - Restore us, O Lord God of hosts;
let your face shine, that we may be saved.
For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another.Each of us must please our neighbor for the good purpose of building up the neighbor. If you will only obey the Lord your God, by diligently observing all his commandments that I am commanding you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.Next verse!With image
