Bible Verses about Dependence

For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Do not fear, I will help you.”For I, the Lord, am your God and I grasp your right hand. It is I who say to you, Do not fear; I will help you.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.Trust wholeheartedly in the Lord rather than relying on your own intelligence. In everything you do, acknowledge him, and he will see that your paths are straight.
The human mind plans the way, but the Lord directs the steps.A man may plan his own course, but the Lord makes his steps secure.
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.Even should my heart and my flesh fail, God is the rock of my heart and my portion forever.
I lift up my eyes to the hills— from where will my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.I lift up my eyes to the mountains; from where will I receive help? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
The human mind may devise many plans, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will be established. Many are the plans in a human mind, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will prevail.
I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing.I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever abides in me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. Apart from me you can do nothing.
He gives power to the faint, and strengthens the powerless. He gives strength to the weary and new vigor to those who are powerless.
Not that I am referring to being in need; for I have learned to be content with whatever I have.I do not say this because I have been in need, for I have learned to be content with whatever I have.
He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. He will not permit your foot to stumble; he who guards you will not fall asleep.
So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today's trouble is enough for today. So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of itself. Each day has enough troubles of its own.
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters. The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall lack. He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me to tranquil streams.
I keep the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.I keep the Lord always before me, for with him at my right hand I will never fall.
Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly; do not claim to be wiser than you are.Live in harmony with one another. Do not consider yourself to be better than others, but associate with the lowly, and never be conceited.
The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to keep still. The Lord will battle for you. Be calm!
Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord guards the city, the guard keeps watch in vain.If the Lord does not build the house, those who construct it labor in vain. If the Lord does not guard the city, those who keep watch over it do so in vain.
The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.The blessing of the Lord is what brings wealth, and our toil adds nothing to it.
When I thought, “My foot is slipping,” your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up.When I realized that my foot was slipping, your kindness, O Lord, raised me up.
Out of my distress I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me in a broad place. In my distress I called out to the Lord; he answered by setting me free.
But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to make this freewill offering? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you.But who am I, and what are your people, that we should be able to do this? All things belong to you, and everything that we have given you is from your hand.
In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider; God has made the one as well as the other, so that mortals may not find out anything that will come after them. When things are going well, be grateful for your blessings, and in times of adversity consider this: God has made both of them, so that we cannot predict with confidence what the future holds.

Restore us, O Lord God of hosts; let your face shine, that we may be saved.Restore us, O Lord of hosts; let your face shine upon us, and we will be saved.

For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another. For just as in one body we have many parts, and the parts do not all have the same function, so we, though many, make up one body in Christ, and individually we are all parts of one another.
