Bible Verses about Dependence
- For I am the Lord your God
who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear;
I will help you. - Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight. - In their hearts humans plan their course,
but the Lord establishes their steps. - My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever. - I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth. - Many are the plans in a person’s heart,
but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. - I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
- He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak. - I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.
- He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber. - Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
- The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters. - I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. - Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.
- The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.
- Unless the Lord builds the house,
the builders labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the guards stand watch in vain. - The blessing of the Lord brings wealth,
without painful toil for it. - When I said, “My foot is slipping,”
your unfailing love, Lord, supported me. - When hard pressed, I cried to the Lord;
he brought me into a spacious place. - But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.

- Keep me safe, my God,
for in you I take refuge. - It was not by their sword that they won the land,
nor did their arm bring them victory;
it was your right hand, your arm,
and the light of your face, for you loved them. - Restore us, Lord God Almighty;
make your face shine on us,
that we may be saved.
For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God—I say this to your shame. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.Next verse!With image
