Psalm 37 - NCB & NRSV

Put your trust in the Lord and do good, that you may dwell in the land and be secure.Trust in the Lord, and do good; so you will live in the land, and enjoy security.
Take delight in the Lord, and he will grant you what your heart desires.Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord; place your trust in him, and he will act. He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, and the justice of your cause, like the noonday.Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. He will make your vindication shine like the light, and the justice of your cause like the noonday.
Wait quietly for the Lord and be patient until he comes. Do not fret over the man who prospers because of his evil schemes.Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him; do not fret over those who prosper in their way, over those who carry out evil devices.
Preferable is the little that the righteous possess than the great wealth of the wicked. For the power of the wicked will be overcome, but the Lord protects the righteous.Better is a little that the righteous person has than the abundance of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous.
The wicked man borrows but neglects to repay, whereas the righteous man is generous in giving. The wicked borrow, and do not pay back, but the righteous are generous and keep giving.
The Lord makes a man’s steps secure when he approves of his conduct. Our steps are made firm by the Lord, when he delights in our way.
For the Lord loves the just, and he will not forsake his faithful ones. Those who follow evil paths will be destroyed, and the children of the wicked will be cut off.For the Lord loves justice; he will not forsake his faithful ones. The righteous shall be kept safe forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off.

To do what is right and just
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.

Random Bible Verse

Even though the fig tree does not blossom
and there is no fruit on the vines,
even though the olive crop will fail
and the orchards will yield no food,
even though the flock is cut off from the fold
and there is no herd in the stalls,
I will continue to rejoice in the Lord,
and exult in the God of my salvation.
