Faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the conviction about things that cannot be seen. | Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen. |

Let us remain firm in the confession of our hope without wavering, for the one who made the promise is trustworthy. | Let’s hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering; for he who promised is faithful. |
Therefore, we can say with confidence: “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?” | So that with good courage we say, “The Lord is my helper. I will not fear. What can man do to me?” |
Do not succumb to the love of money, but be content with what you have, for God has said, “I will never forsake you or abandon you.” | Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, “I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.” |
Seek peace with everyone, as well as the holiness without which no one will ever see the Lord. | Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord. |
