In praying, don’t use vain repetitions as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking. | But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. |
But you go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. | But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. |
