Bible Verses about the Neighbor

The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these. And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.
To sum up, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, loving, compassionate, and humble. Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous.
No one is to seek his own advantage, but rather that of his neighbor.Let no one seek his own, but each one the other’s well-being.
Therefore, encourage one another and build one another up, just as you also are doing. Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.
Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ.Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Let love of the brothers and sisters continue. Do not neglect hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it.Let brotherly love continue. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.
For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets. Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility consider one another as more important than yourselves.Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.
Each of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to his edification.Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, leading to edification.
So then, while we have opportunity, let’s do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.
Therefore let’s not judge one another anymore, but rather determine this: not to put an obstacle or a stumbling block in a brother’s or sister’s way. Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother’s way.
Bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so must you do also.Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.
I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, that you also love one another.A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor, Obtain justice for the orphan, Plead for the widow’s case.Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow.
Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the Law.Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
Therefore you have no excuse, you foolish person, everyone of you who passes judgment; for in that matter in which you judge someone else, you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things.
Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins. And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”
And may the Lord cause you to increase and overflow in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you.And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, just as we do to you.
For this, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, it is summed up in this saying, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor.Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another.
For the despairing man there should be kindness from his friend; So that he does not abandon the fear of the Almighty. To him who is afflicted, kindness should be shown by his friend, Even though he forsakes the fear of the Almighty.
For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we are to love one another. For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
One person values one day over another, another values every day the same. Each person must be fully convinced in his own mind. One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind.
Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

But whoever has worldly goods and sees his brother or sister in need, and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God remain in him?But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?
