Proverbs 27 - NASB & WEB

Do not abandon your friend or your father’s friend, And do not go to your brother’s house on the day of your disaster; Better is a neighbor who is near than a brother far away.Don’t forsake your friend and your father’s friend. Don’t go to your brother’s house in the day of your disaster. A neighbor who is near is better than a distant brother.
A prudent person sees evil and hides himself; But the naive proceed, and pay the penalty.A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge; but the simple pass on, and suffer for it.
As iron sharpens iron, So one person sharpens another.Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend’s countenance.
As in water a face reflects the face, So the heart of a person reflects the person.Like water reflects a face, so a man’s heart reflects the man.
