The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does; likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.The husband should fulfill his wife’s sexual needs, and the wife should fulfill her husband’s needs. The wife gives authority over her body to her husband, and the husband gives authority over his body to his wife.
Do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! Fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, sodomites, thieves, the greedy, drunkards, revilers, robbers—none of these will inherit the kingdom of God.Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God.
You then, my child, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.Timothy, my dear son, be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus.
The saying is sure: If we have died with him, we will also live with him.This is a trustworthy saying: If we die with him, we will also live with him.
There is no Holy One like the Lord, no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.No one is holy like the Lord! There is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.
Like newborn infants, long for the pure, spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow into salvation.Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment.
May mercy, peace, and love be yours in abundance.May God give you more and more mercy, peace, and love.
And he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world.
Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.
For he will repay according to each one's deeds.He will judge everyone according to what they have done.
For this purpose he called you through our proclamation of the good news, so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.He called you to salvation when we told you the Good News; now you can share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead.So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.
But as for you, teach what is consistent with sound doctrine.As for you, Titus, promote the kind of living that reflects wholesome teaching.
Proclaim the message; be persistent whether the time is favorable or unfavorable; convince, rebuke, and encourage, with the utmost patience in teaching.Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.
Then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trial, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment.So you see, the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials, even while keeping the wicked under punishment until the day of final judgment.
Deliver me, O Lord, from lying lips, from a deceitful tongue.Rescue me, O Lord, from liars and from all deceitful people.
Shun youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.
Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus.You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved by him, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly explaining the word of truth.Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.
The Lord makes poor and makes rich; he brings low, he also exalts.The Lord makes some poor and others rich; he brings some down and lifts others up.
For who is God, but the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God?For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock?
Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with thanksgiving.Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.
When pride comes, then comes disgrace; but wisdom is with the humble.Pride leads to disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.
I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.”I said to the Lord, “You are my Master! Every good thing I have comes from you.”
Then everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
