Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone. | Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. |
“As I began to speak,” Peter continued, “the Holy Spirit fell on them, just as he fell on us at the beginning.” | And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. |
Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening. | And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. |

All the believers were united in heart and mind. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and glorify and honor the King of heaven. After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. | And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. |
