So don’t let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths. For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ himself is that reality. Colossians 2:16-17	Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants. John 3:21	But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God. light truth obedience
On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!” John 7:37	On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.” Jesus food equipment
“I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.” Revelation 1:8	“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” eternal life reliability God
But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently. Romans 8:25	But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. trust hope patience
He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus! Revelation 22:20	He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! Jesus second coming
Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. James 4:8	Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. sin purification righteousness
See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to all people. 1 Thessalonians 5:15	See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone. blameless righteousness evil
Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. Revelation 3:20	Behold, I stand at the door and knock. Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but a sword. Matthew 10:34	Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. peace world Jesus
Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living. Psalm 27:13	I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! goodness trust
Look! He comes with the clouds of heaven. And everyone will see him— even those who pierced him. And all the nations of the world will mourn for him. Yes! Amen! Revelation 1:7	Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen. Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come. 1 Timothy 4:8	For while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. health obedience life
Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves. Matthew 7:15	Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. second coming prophecy clothing
And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right! James 3:10	From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. sin speaking worship
I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! Psalm 121:1-2	I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. creation encouragement dependence
I didn’t know he was the one, but when God sent me to baptize with water, he told me, ‘The one on whom you see the Spirit descend and rest is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’ John 1:33	I myself did not know him, but he who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘He on whom you see the Spirit descend and remain, this is he who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’ Jesus Spirit baptism
Now he is exalted to the place of highest honor in heaven, at God’s right hand. And the Father, as he had promised, gave him the Holy Spirit to pour out upon us, just as you see and hear today. Wealth and honor come from you alone, for you rule over everything.
