I have come to call not those who think they are righteous… Luke 5:32

I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners and need to repent. Luke 5:32	I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance. sin repentance conversion
On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!” John 7:37	Now on the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink!” Jesus food equipment

That is why the Lord says, “Turn to me now, while there is time. Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning.” Joel 2:12	“Yet even now,” says Yahweh, “turn to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning.” conversion fasting sadness
Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’ John 7:38	He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water. faith Word of God life
But I will send you the Advocate—the Spirit of truth. He will come to you from the Father and will testify all about me. Then, by the will of God, I will be able to come to you with a joyful heart, and we will be an encouragement to each other. Romans 15:32	That I may come to you in joy through the will of God, and together with you, find rest. obedience joy dependence
Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come. 1 Timothy 4:8	For bodily exercise has some value, but godliness has value in all things, having the promise of the life which is now and of that which is to come. health obedience life
We all come to the end of our lives as naked and empty-handed as on the day we were born. We can’t take our riches with us. Ecclesiastes 5:15	As he came out of his mother’s womb, naked shall he go again as he came, and shall take nothing for his labor, which he may carry away in his hand. greed materialism heaven
And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment. John 16:8	When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment. Holy Spirit mediator sin
But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don’t, the Advocate won’t come. If I do go away, then I will send him to you. John 16:7	Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I don’t go away, the Counselor won’t come to you. But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.” Matthew 19:14	But Jesus said, “Allow the little children, and don’t forbid them to come to me; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these.” kingdom heaven children
The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever. Psalm 121:7-8	Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. hope life evil
Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf. Hebrews 7:25	Therefore he is also able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them. eternal life Savior salvation
Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. Revelation 3:20	Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, then I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with me. obedience food listening
In the night I search for you; in the morning I earnestly seek you. For only when you come to judge the earth will people learn what is right. Isaiah 26:9	With my soul I have desired you in the night. Yes, with my spirit within me I will seek you earnestly; for when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness. righteousness judgment learning
For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever! Amen. Romans 11:36	For of him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory for ever! Amen. creation worship gratitude
Enjoy prosperity while you can, but when hard times strike, realize that both come from God. Remember that nothing is certain in this life. Ecclesiastes 7:14	In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider; yes, God has made the one side by side with the other, to the end that man should not find out anything after him. joy life dependence
The more you have, the more people come to help you spend it. So what good is wealth—except perhaps to watch it slip through your fingers! Ecclesiastes 5:11	When goods increase, those who eat them are increased; and what advantage is there to its owner, except to feast on them with his eyes? materialism money desires
And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come. Matthew 24:14	This Good News of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world for a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come. evangelism end times kingdom
Pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:9-10	Pray like this: ‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.’ prayer Father humility
So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. Hebrews 4:16	Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need. grace prayer mercy
Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn others, or it will all come back against you. Forgive others, and you will be forgiven. Luke 6:37	Don’t judge, and you won’t be judged. Don’t condemn, and you won’t be condemned. Set free, and you will be set free. judgment forgiveness
Paul said, “John’s baptism called for repentance from sin. But John himself told the people to believe in the one who would come later, meaning Jesus.” Acts 19:4	Paul said, “John indeed baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe in the one who would come after him, that is, in Christ Jesus.” baptism conversion faith
