Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. For the Scriptures say, “If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.” 1 Peter 3:10-11	For, “He who would love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. Galatians 5:17	For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire. obedience Spirit

Wash yourselves and be clean! Get your sins out of my sight. Give up your evil ways. Isaiah 1:16	Wash yourselves. Make yourself clean. Put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes. Cease to do evil. sin purification evil
My child, never forget the things I have taught you. Store my commands in your heart. If you do this, you will live many years, and your life will be satisfying. So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth. 1 John 1:6	If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie and don’t tell the truth. sin honesty truth
Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them. It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret. Ephesians 5:11-12	Have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even reprove them. When you see the tassels, you will remember and obey all the commands of the Lord instead of following your own desires and defiling yourselves, as you are prone to do. Numbers 15:39	It shall be to you for a fringe, that you may see it, and remember all Yahweh’s commandments, and do them; and that you don’t follow your own heart and your own eyes, after which you used to play the prostitute. law obedience desires
But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don’t, the Advocate won’t come. If I do go away, then I will send him to you. Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.” 1 Corinthians 15:33	Don’t be deceived! “Evil companionships corrupt good morals.” evil goodness friendship
Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants. John 3:21	But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God. light truth obedience
Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world. 1 John 4:1	Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. trust Spirit prophecy
