| As for God, His way is blameless; The word of the Lord is refined; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him. | God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. |
| As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to keep many people alive. | You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people. |

| Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many. | For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many. |
| My salvation and my glory rest on God; The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God. | My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me. |
| The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ | A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ |

For six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of the Lord your God; you shall not do any work that day, you or your son or your daughter, or your male slave or your female slave, or your ox, your donkey, or any of your cattle, or your resident who stays with you, so that your male slave and your female slave may rest as well as you. | Observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy, as the Lord your God has commanded you. You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of rest dedicated to the Lord your God. On that day no one in your household may do any work. This includes you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, your oxen and donkeys and other livestock, and any foreigners living among you. All your male and female servants must rest as you do. |
| If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are. | God will destroy anyone who destroys this temple. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple. |
| Just as you do not know the path of the wind, and how bones are formed in the womb of the pregnant woman, so you do not know the activity of God who makes everything. | Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things. |
