God as friend (3/4)

As for God, His way is blameless; The word of the Lord is refined; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection.
As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to keep many people alive. You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.
May my teaching drip as the rain, My speech trickle as the dew, As droplets on the fresh grass, And as the showers on the vegetation.Let my teaching fall on you like rain; let my speech settle like dew. Let my words fall like rain on tender grass, like gentle showers on young plants.
Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. And everyone who has this hope set on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure.
For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written: “But the righteous one will live by faith.”This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”
As for God, His way is blameless; The word of the Lord is refined; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection.
Each one must do just as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”
For nothing will be impossible with God.For the word of God will never fail.
On the day of prosperity be happy, But on the day of adversity consider: God has made the one as well as the other So that a person will not discover anything that will come after him.Enjoy prosperity while you can, but when hard times strike, realize that both come from God. Remember that nothing is certain in this life.
Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.
And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us.
So the Lord commanded us to follow all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God for our own good always and for our survival, as it is today. And the Lord our God commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear him so he can continue to bless us and preserve our lives, as he has done to this day.
So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and mankind, the Man Christ Jesus. For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus.
Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.
My salvation and my glory rest on God; The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God.My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.
The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown toward His name, by having served and by still serving the saints. For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do.
So then, be careful how you walk, not as unwise people but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil.So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.
Protect me, God, for I take refuge in You.Keep me safe, O God, for I have come to you for refuge.
Therefore you shall be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect. But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect.
In God, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?I praise God for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me?
Keep the Sabbath day to treat it as holy, as the Lord your God commanded you. For six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of the Lord your God; you shall not do any work that day, you or your son or your daughter, or your male slave or your female slave, or your ox, your donkey, or any of your cattle, or your resident who stays with you, so that your male slave and your female slave may rest as well as you.Observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy, as the Lord your God has commanded you. You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of rest dedicated to the Lord your God. On that day no one in your household may do any work. This includes you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, your oxen and donkeys and other livestock, and any foreigners living among you. All your male and female servants must rest as you do.
If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are.God will destroy anyone who destroys this temple. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.
Just as you do not know the path of the wind, and how bones are formed in the womb of the pregnant woman, so you do not know the activity of God who makes everything.Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things.

Furthermore, as for every person to whom God has given riches and wealth, He has also given him the opportunity to enjoy them and to receive his reward and rejoice in his labor; this is the gift of God.And it is a good thing to receive wealth from God and the good health to enjoy it. To enjoy your work and accept your lot in life—this is indeed a gift from God.
